Project Summary
IKEA Circle” is a conceptual project created with the aim of tackling the sustainability problem surrounding cheap and easily replaceable furniture. Because their products are affordable, people tend to buy new ones instead of fixing them when something breaks. IKEA Circle works together with the local council by hiring apprentices to recycle, remake, and resell these products. Each product is unique and beautiful in its own way, just like every individual.
Design
The branding and illustration are created in a geometric style inspired by LEGO blocks and computer games. This is to better attract a young audience and draw their attention to this project.
UX
UX is also a part of the design process. Image 2 is a user journey map for how the IKEA Circle would work.
